White House close-up with fountain, Washington, DC

How do you like this one? Enough color to justify not converting to B&W? How is the composition? I totally wish that I could go back there at dusk or just before dawn and use a tripod to smooth out the water....... alas!

Yes, I think the color works fine. The focus seems just a bit soft but that can easily be fixed with post processing sharpening.

 

I thought you might like to see how some NIK Software Color Efex filters would look on your lovely original while I still have the free trial. See the attached. Do I have too much nerve? Say the word and I'll gladly delete it.

You don't ever have to apologize for uploading "your" version of one of my shots! :-) I love seeing what other people would do with my images. I actually did "sharpen" this image in photoshop. Apparently, not enough. :-) Your version is great! Thanks!
