Today when some one says "that photo is Ansell Adams Like, or Annie Leibovitz like, or David Hamilton like" we all know what staple style, gritty genre, imbued imagination, and emotional emulations of which they speak.

I believe that one day when people say... "That is a a David Meyer like photo" we will all know exactly the type of imagined image that it will bring to bare.

And definably, this photo is a David Meyer photo. A quintessential David Meyer.

You never cease to amaze me with your amazingly simple images captured with soul, passion and pathos for the fading of the old, and the slow decay of the new.

Did I wax a little to philosophic there? Oh well... great shot Boss. Love it all.

That's a terrific shot, David. As Shane put it it bears your signature all around. Subject matter, composition and processing in great Meyer's style. It instantly evokes the road movie genre. Great props and setting, Mr director. Action!

P.S.: great movie title too.

...I wholeheartedly agree!

This is a typical David Meyer photo - it made me chuckle once again. A very good image to start the day with!

..."on the road again, can't wait to get on the road again...", very appropriate image for a Willie Nelson sing along! Yup, it's a "Meyers", and a good 'un! I'd suggest B&W but we'd loose that wonderful RED "coach" that ol' Juan is riding in.

first the devil dude harassed the buidling and now it's hitching a ride on a truck? Great catch. Also, the old white car fits there like a glove and gives it some extra spice. Cheers, Micheal

You consistently manage to capture the most unlikely of scenes. Your sense of composition is radical. I love that little bit of old farm implement on the B L edge of the frame. As a child the "Taz" was my absolute favourite character, I could really relate to his linguistic skills.

I did desaturate and play with curves, and I just could not find it as interesting when I did. So it stays colored.

Thanks. I thought about cropping the car our and ending with the stairway, but, like you, I decided the car belonged.

You see, I was just talking about the virtue of Pnet in my response to you and Fred on the parking garage image, and you've proven something right here. "The Taz?" You know what this thing is? I don't. I thought it was supposed to be some sort of an evocation of a chicken based on the Pollo Juan guy. Or is the Taz a form of chicken? Oh you guys know so damn much.

The Taznamian Devil was a cartoon character from the Bugs Bunny and Road Runner Show. When I was a young boy, I loved the character, he spun rapidly in tornado fashion to get from point 'A' to 'B' and he ate everything in site including furniture and fixtures, when he spoke he mumbled incoherently and usually punctuated his sentences by swallowing a couch or such. There actually is a small, fast and apparently ill tempered creature living in Tazmania called, you guessed it, a Tasmanian Devil.
