bigsquashbuggy 0 Posted January 30, 2008 Hmm, tough shot to critique but here I go: Subject is good as is the placement of the man with the umbrella. Focus is a little soft but that is fine - it actually adds to the mood of the shot. The red umbrella yields the 'pop' that I like to see. The sails are perhaps cropped a little too close to the edge of the frame but the edges bounces the viewers eye back to the man. The is also dead space above; yet I don't see how you can get away with cropping there. Bottom line is that it's a great capture. Well done! Link to comment
httpwww.photo.netphoto1664881938 0 Posted January 30, 2008 This image is truly beautiful as well as the previous one posted in the critique forum( http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=6894061 ). Aparently you are both working on a similar project, but posting the images in the same time?... P.S. This image of yours has a great atmosfere as well. M Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted February 2, 2008 Very nice shot Tim. I just love your red umbrella. Very nice control on all that white. J Link to comment
gungajim 75 Posted February 3, 2008 A new and vibrant take on one of my favoritie buildings in the world. I wish there was just a tad more space between the wing tips and the edge of the image. Conceivably you could expand the width of the canvas on each side and with some very delicate clone work, create some space. Link to comment
