lucyhollis 2 Posted January 26, 2008 I had a few problems with the perspective and also that I needed a graduated ND for the sky, which then made the tower dark too off course. So I fiddled a bit with dodging and the distortion tool. Any comments are welcome and appreciated, as well as any tips for taking this sort of photos without so much distortion. Thanks, Lucy Link to comment
richard hans 0 Posted January 28, 2008 Very nice perch, love the warm light & green grassland makes great contrast, good perspective & details form to original feel here, Lucy, such a peaceful scenery!!! Best regards Link to comment
JohnMWright 1 Posted January 29, 2008 I love the light, texture and grass as mentioned, but I have this urge to turn to the right and see more of the Cathedral. Do you have another with the entire building? Link to comment
lucyhollis 2 Posted January 29, 2008 Thanks for your comments - unfortunately no, I don't or at least this was the best. The cathedral actually extends quite a bit more, and turning the camera some more to the right ended up in lots of bushes. Framing it like this felt like I had obviously had to crop off the right least! But maybe from another angle I could show it all better. Next time... Link to comment
roger_jenkins 0 Posted April 22, 2009 This brings back powerful memories of my students days in the mid '70's performing at St David's - did you make any photographs of the Bishop's Palace? It was a wonderful environment for Shakespeare and anything medieval, but my own camera skills as a teen - sigh. Roger Link to comment
