mongolia Explosive Morning over Ulaanbaatar

Two weeks ago, at sunrise by -36 degree Celsius there was a

Cool image. Very dramatic. I have a couple of suggestions for you. You might try burning the upper sky midtones and dodge the towers on the left. I'm including a version of the picture I modified in that way. I hope you find it helpful, or at least interesting.

Thanks Chuck for your suggestion. I see what you mean with the left building. I can still not see what you did with the sky. What did you want to change with the upper sky? I appreciate very much this kind of suggestions, as I struggle still with calibrating my monitor after introducing windows vista and others my not see it the way I see it. Karl

The effect I mentioned about darkening (burning) the sky was a fairly subtle one. I saw it easily when I did it, but not being able to toggle from one version to the other makes it difficult to see. Good luck with Vista. I'm sticking with XP for now.

Phenomenon of nature very well captured. Fantastic sky, although the dynamic range is high, you still managed to retain good details of the foreground. Excellent work.
