Matt Laur 2,201 Posted January 23, 2008 Handlers, Judges, and a ride-along gallery are about to cast a brace of Pointers into a foggy field. Thanks for comments, as I'm working on B/W conversions. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted January 23, 2008 Excellent capture of this event, the relaxed preparation and camaraderie is well known and recognized by sportsmen. The conversion has great tone! Hmmm, where did he get that hat in Maryland? The PC Cops have shamed them into oblivion here :-) Mike Link to comment
timkeller 0 Posted January 24, 2008 Beautiful B&W, Matt! I really love the composition, a semi-panorama with several (but not all) heads turned to their right to the person on our left end, not to mention the attractive lineup of horses and gorgeous dogs. Despite being a moment of pause, there's so much going on. Great shot. Link to comment

stupski 0 Posted September 9, 2008 Excellent shot, reminiscent of so many Maryland scenes / paintings of the old days (Ladew Gardens has quite a few that might interest you). Great tonal values. Would make a great painting, with a bit more space around the edges. You from Maryland too? Link to comment
Matt Laur 2,201 Posted September 9, 2008 Hi D.L. - yup, Montgomery County. But I try to get around a little bit! This one was out on Wye Island, just over the Bay Bridge. Link to comment
jbm 0 Posted March 9, 2009 Maybe I would try boosting the brightness a bit and then adding a little midtone contrast. Minimal adjustments, but they might help. Very appealing image. Jay Link to comment
