lonebearimages 0 Posted January 22, 2008 Boy, 'Larger' is Better! Sublime details, and the light on the FG rocks really accentuates the mood. I love the mist coming off of Isabella, and the 'mist' kinda coming down off of the low-slung clouds. This is a truly magnificent composition and photograph. Well done, Mark! Cheers! whydangle 0 Posted January 22, 2008 Thanks Chris for looking. I should have mentioned this was taken at the Courtright Reservoir in Sept. The color version was pretty good, but the conversion bumped the sky detail. If you haven't been, this reservoir is located between Seqouia and Yosemite just past Shaver Lake. I highly recommend it as it is very remote and not highly visited. The granite here, while lesser in scale, rivals Yosemite. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted January 22, 2008 Oh, okay, thanks for the information. Yeah, it really is a beautiful landscape. The granite slabs and domes in the BG add a lot to this. Really a superb work of yours, Amigo! Cheers! Chris Link to comment

ronald_capasso 0 Posted January 27, 2008 When I look at this it is easy to understand what John Muir meant he called the Sierra the range of light. Nice conversion... very nice. Keep it straight and don't shoot less than f8, Ron Link to comment
