Thank you my friends for taking the time to comment and Foti:'Tell the King, the elaborate courtyards are crumbled and Phoebus has no shelter any more neither his prophetic laurel nor a spring to sing and the speaking water has lost its voice...' I also remember the English lady who took her shoes off, before she entered the sanctuary of Apollo...

Really, really lovely, and as others have said, full of mood and mystery. I especially enjoy the sense of the moon about to peek out from behind the largest pillar. Very nicely done.

"Είπατε το βασιλεί χαμαί πέσαι δαίδαλος αυλά".Tremendous phrase.

I also know that Eva Palmer along with Angelos Sikielianos tried to restore The Delphic Festivals for some years ,before World War II ,dressed with ancient short tunics and sandals.

... great shot, Dimitris, but the sensibility that informs the shot is to be admired. To be able to somehow capture reverence is so difficult, but you have done it. Reverence as well as regret, for gods forgotten.

The photograph is absolutely magnificent... Looking at it and reading the comments by Foti and Dimitri... Thank you for the emotions you created...
