Only you! Bravo! I like the little bit of sunshine at the top. And, am I seeing things, or is there a little half dead plant (weed?) at the bottom of the photograph? If so, I haven't figured it out yet, but it's somehow symbolic (??). Oh, and I think this will stir up another big PN dialogue. Yet another classic. Way to go, David.

Thanks a bunch. Yes, that is a poor, half dead, beleaguered weed growing in the windowsill. The interpretation of which I shall leave to you and others for the time being.

My friend, thank you. This doesn't have the visual appeal of that beauty you posted tonight, but I can only hope it has the visceral appeal I love to elicit.

And the award for Best Religious Irony goes to.....

Oh, I'm so nervous....

David Meyer and "They Were Packing Them In." Applause. Applause. Tears.

You should put your wit up for sale. A caption consulting firm.

A "captions consulting firm" eh? I like your thinking. Maybe "Captions At Command, Always." CACA for short, and do you know what that is in Spanish?

Okay, maybe not a good business model. Thanks for the thoughts, Jeff.

Hey, virgins for sale. We just buy them here - no need for martyrdom. What a country. And life springing from a metal window sill - a miracle - spread the word. You sure know how to find them, Dave. Another good one! :)

Thanks. My fave is the guys on the right with the heart popping out. Man that's got to be painful. But the plant still strives...

to my taste this photo is OK, but it loses some originality, since you already posted a head-on shot of this, which achieves a better emotional appeal, IMV8O (or if it wasn't exactly this scene, then very similar). This is more of a documentary photo, to my taste. Dude, if you put various baseball hats on their heads and then took the shot, you'd have a winner. Cheers, Micheal

You are right that I posted a similar image taken from the same storefront, more to the right and done as a vertical. This one has less manipulation, and I fell in love with the little plant/weed growing in the windowsill. A miracle of its own (admittedly, half dead). This one seemed to me to have a better perspective, and I am naturally inclined toward landscape dimensions. So it was posted, and I think I like it more than than the other aforementioned image.

I sincerely thank you for your honest opinion. I need honest feedback.

And your idea of baseball caps is terrific. I'd do that in a heartbeat if this place weren't 1,500 miles away. Would you chip in for the twelve caps?

It's a miracle! Quick, call the pope! Better watch out for flying bibles, David, them family bibles can be quite deadly when thrown by an enraged Evangelical.

Don't I know that. In my town, if you are not an evangelical, you're not shit. No, wait a second. I think that is you ARE shit. I presume the miracle to which you refer was the little plant.

David, you never cease to tell a story with your work, a story that is powerful, thought-provoking and brilliantly done.

I think you're one of those "top photographer" types.

Thanks, I'm flattered, but my numbers don't exactly make me tops. Still, I've got lots of fine Pnet friends, amongst which I count you, and that keeps me satisfied mostly.
