This has the passion of a dying saint. The eyes are wonderfully captured, and the splayed wings convey a suffering embrace. A remarkable capture.

Truly amazing capture. You "humanized" this bird with this shot. The eyes and expression are remarkable.

I like Jeff's description of a dying saint. It's certainly not like any bird picture I've ever seen.

I stared at this photo before reading your accompanying verses and i have to say that is EXACTLY what was on my mind when I saw this shot.
