dave_dise1 0 Posted February 29, 2008 This was taken outside next to a building on the north side about 10AM. settings: aperature priority, f4.0, 1/320, exposure bias -1.33, focal leng 14.20mm, metered center wted, normal contrast and sharpness, auto white balance. Bachground PS removed, otherwise normal PS post processing(curves, levels and contrast) Suggestions for more clarity, overexposed areas, artistic impact would greatly be appreciated as I am very new to photography and still learning technical aspects as well as the of it. Thanks and happy shooting, Dave Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted March 7, 2008 Since you so sincerely wanted some feedback on this....here goes. Not that I'm that qualified to tell you because I'm very new at editing myself and I have a very primitive editing program that doesn't allow me to do much. But maybe try a couple of things with this. I love the asymmetry of this shot, but I'd still consider cutting a bit off on the left side and maybe a bit off the bottom. And can you sharpen it up just a bit? I actually love the light on the upper blossoms....the over-exposure here doesn't bother me because I love the reflected light with the dark background. I wish I had taken this shot. Good job! Link to comment

Christal1664882414 0 Posted March 8, 2008 I love your 3rd version where the blossoms are bigger.....that really makes an impact, and it's actually quite a romantic photo. Now that the flowers are larger, I think you could afford to leave a bit more black background around the edges for balance. Then I think you have it! The blooms looks so soft and delicate......that was a great idea. The 2nd version I didn't like as well.....a little too overprocessed maybe? So in order of preference. #3 #1 #2 Good work on this! Thanks for allowing my input.....I learn in the process because it challenges me to figure out what works and what doesn't. Link to comment
