jim craig 0 Posted January 19, 2008 Very nicely done and a great idea to turn this into a B&W, originality plus! BTW, it's an abstract. (: Link to comment
Karl Schuler 48 Posted January 19, 2008 Extraordinary original abstract, very pleasant. Congratulations. I cold imagen to have this foto as a large format on the wall. By the way, how did you make it? Karl Link to comment
doug_gentry 0 Posted January 19, 2008 Created and exposed perfectly! Hanna, this is quite wonderful! Thank you for sharing! Regards, Doug Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted January 20, 2008 Thank you all for your response. Karl, this is a handheld vertical pan shot with a 70-200mm lens near the short end. Shutter speed was about 1.5 seconds at f8. The settings vary a little but I find around these numbers give the best results with a steady downward movement of the camera. I had headed off to the woods in the sun but by the time I arrived it was overcast with low light and so I resorted to playing around with this kind of shot - no need for fast shutter speeds or a tripod. Karl Schuler 48 Posted January 20, 2008 Thanks Hanna, is it as simple as that!? I have to try it out, not pretending to be able to create such a harmonious master piece as you did, but only to test something new. Karl Link to comment
lesa jones 0 Posted January 20, 2008 Paranormal "feel" ...spooky even...BUT wonderful!! The lighter white mist that begins at the bottom and rises up into the image, appears as a path and invites the viewer into the scene. Beautiful!! It gets my "Frame It, Hang It!" vote...congrats....LJ Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted January 20, 2008 Hi Hanna, I like the ephemeral feeling you have created in this image . . . it works really well as a b&w abstract and I like the movement into the center of the landscape. Link to comment
