billmccrystyn 0 Posted January 17, 2008 Right on dude. Colors are good, you didn't over sharpen, nice profile crop, good framing, plenty of room up front. It was early morning or late afternoon bright so I would knock down the levels on the side of the top of his head. Pretty shot. 7/7 Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 2, 2008 What a beautiful shot. I love the way the bird has posed. The colors in the beak are so vivid. The macro shot sure makes the bird stand out. Link to comment
Dieter Schaefer 20,128 Posted June 20, 2008 superb detail. I notice a bit of a magenta cast and maybe a bit too much saturation on the bird's feathers. Link to comment
sherinwalter 0 Posted June 23, 2008 Dear Mr. Stinnett, I"ve seen many photos and painted many birds for magazines and associated with Ducks Unlimited, Sir, your portfolio is superior and shines above the rest. Where have you been hiding? I sincerely wish you the greatest blessings in all respects. Walter Kaplinski Link to comment
wmhoodphoto 0 Posted August 13, 2008 I'm just now discovering this image. Fantastic! I was at BC last week for only the second time and I saw a number of photogs on the walkway, shooting the dueling terns so I snapped an image of them. After seeing your shot of the same day I realize you are in my photo (big deal, huh?) Anyway, I'll say "hi" next time. I am in awe of your entire portfolio! Link to comment
artists_in_the_valley 0 Posted November 14, 2008 This is a fantastic shot.. the clarity and composition are spot on. You couldn't have taken this at a more perfect time of the day- the natural light is phenomenal. Great vision to see this. These birds are so unpredictable, so with such a high f-stop- to capture this- magic... cheers... Link to comment
