I took a shot similar to this back in 2006 on a visit to Myrtle Beach, someone was walking along, so deep in thought in the early morning hours. Head down, why? I am not sure, just as the man is in this shot.

Could have been looking for shells, or could have had the weight of 'his world' resting on those shoulders, the sound of the suf and early morning birds, perhaps a 'calming respite' in what otherwise was a 'very noisy' world outside of this place.

Who knows? It's all in our interpretation of what we see, but this shot drew my attention. Perhaps he was looking for that 'other set of footsteps' walkin making an impression in the sand..........if not, I hope he 'knew' that he was being 'carried'.

Warm regards, Gail

Gail,  It was so refreshing and encouraging to hear your remarks about this photo.  I had put it out for critique some time ago and was a bit disappointed that no one else sensed, or felt what I did.   Guess what?  This was taken at Myrtle Beach and I'm not sure, but it may have been around that same time!
