dgv 1 Posted January 14, 2008 A stunning and moving portrait Birte, no Armaniism here...poverty is in our eyes. The look of the young mother declares that. It also acts as a reminder as to how priviledged we are. Best wishes. Link to comment

lizweisiger 0 Posted January 22, 2008 This image will haunt me long after I move on past it. I see the poverty, and the fear in the child, but not the mother. Actually, she looks amused. So I thought, what's up with the child? I have the hunch that all is not right with the child - witness the discoloration on her arms, and the face appears to be overly large. In my mind, this is how I know I am viewing greatness - I have to think and feel a lot here. Link to comment

ricardo_tomasi 0 Posted January 29, 2008 The contrast in their expressions is interesting, but you were somewhat heavy-handed on the processing. The "burning" is overdone and looks very unnatural, specially around the boy's face and arms. Bring back the shadows, there is nothing to hide! Link to comment
