shots worth sharing 1 Posted January 14, 2008 Thanks, Mary. I guess I really do need to get me a macro lens: the 77mm delivers superb iq, of course, but it's real more of a portrait lens and I have to crop pretty severely to get down to this level of detail. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted January 19, 2008 Speaking of ideas, I think this is a sensual if not overtly sexual image. It conjures up quite a bit for me in the realm of female symbolism. I think it stands well as an abstract but goes further in being so suggestive, not just of the sexual but of many other possibilities as well. I love the play of the yellowish color emanating from the center with the reflected light. In this case, your lighting harmonizes so well with the composition and structure of the plant. Very nice image. Link to comment
shots worth sharing 1 Posted January 19, 2008 Well, yeah, now that you mention it, I have to admit that's one of the ideas that came to *my* mind--and the spikes add a little edginess, don't you think? Thanks for noticing and commenting! Link to comment
tomaso nigris 0 Posted February 27, 2008 Perfectly detailed macro photo. Reduce number of pixel to 625 is easier to look and you don't loose quality. Link to comment
shots worth sharing 1 Posted February 27, 2008 Thanks, Tomaso. I just tried to swap it out for a down-sized version but that doesn't seem to have worked. I certainly understand the frustration when trying to view portrait photos which are too large and am embarrassed to be a culprit. Link to comment
