Cool idea. I might suggest taking a soft blur brush and really distorting the frame iamges.

Thanks for commenting. I actually applied the gaussian blur to the frame part but wanted to leave a semblance of the shells. I will try blurring it more extensively. In fact I just thought of an idea - perhaps I could make the frame more blue giving it a sense of the ocean.

I like your blue frame idea. A sample of blue from that large shell middle right might work great.

Changed the image and gave it a blue frame. For what it is worth, I was drawn by the light and the variety of shells.

Would be interested in your input - does the frame enhance or detract?

Hi, I was scrolling through the recent listings after putting up my first one up for critique when your's caught my attention. I like the intricate detail and patterns of the various shells and the shades of brown but the blue frame detracts from the otherwise interesting photograph. Rick

I really do appreciate the constructive input. Was it the blue color of the frame of the type of frame keeping in mind that I had it originally in the same color scheme as the shells.
