rpallagi 0 Posted January 11, 2008 I know its kinda cheap to crop tight, I ran out of ideas. How do you like it? Link to comment
eosman 0 Posted January 11, 2008 I think it's a great portrait. In portraiture surely every face is unique, every composition is unique and every expression is unique. I am new to digital darkroom tecniques and don't understand what you mean by "a tight crop is cheap"? Chris Link to comment
rpallagi 0 Posted January 11, 2008 I was the type of beginner who cropped tight. I did it automatically. I saw on my photos, that tightly cropped portraits looked better than the ones that showed more of the body and the surroundings. As I learned more and more, I realized, that coming out requires more knowledge in posing, lighting, and subject separation, colors and textures. I am still in progress practicing these things, and I will be for a long time. I meant cheap, not becouse these kind of portraits are cheap, because they can be quite powerful. I meant that these kinda portraits require much less pain in the butt to do that half body or 3/4 or full body portraits... Link to comment
