ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted January 9, 2008 Curios if you find the shoulder distracting or not Link to comment
wogears 186 Posted January 9, 2008 Very Theda Bara. Have you tried b/w to remove distractions? Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted January 9, 2008 Thanks. B&W was a thought, but I haven't gotten to it. I like your version Link to comment
JulianBurke 0 Posted January 10, 2008 Now why would we find the shoulder distracting? People have shoulders - part of the person; part of the picture. If anything, the head band has more of a chance of being distracting but it is not - it's part of the persona. What I find more disturbing is the lack of "facial definition". For example, the usual triangular lines from the nose down to the corners of the mouth and defining the cheeks are missing. Would that be due to excessive air brushing? I find it hard to believe that she has a "flat" face - even if the full frontal lighting gives a "flat" apearence. Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted January 10, 2008 Thanks. There wasn't airbrushing. The light gives the flat appearance Link to comment
stamos 0 Posted January 23, 2008 The shoulder is ok for me. I like the pose and the expression. Link to comment
bertr 0 Posted January 24, 2008 This is a lovely image! Why in hades would you want to diminish those beautiful skin tones, those gorgeous brown eyes and the full red lips, with a shallow, no account b&w version? The only distracting thing about this image is that the model is not my girl friend....that bothers me...but not her shoulder...Bert Link to comment
John Peri 1,003 Posted January 28, 2008 Strong features, yet soft and feminine. Very nicely portrayed. I like the colour version better personally, I find it still more sensual. A beautiful portrait Ken, cheers, John Link to comment
