Colorful walk

I'm going through some "older" photos (like from 2006). I spent a day with another photographer wandering downtown Boston. I loved the colors of these "decorations" along this fence near the waterway. While I was shooting, a man walked by. Does this constitute "street photography"? I was pleased with the DOF. Do you agree? Any other thoughts?
