I like the visual and emotional concept here. In my opinion, it has potential that you haven't fully explored. I'd like to see you reshoot this with a less cluttered background and without the strong shadows on the man's upper torso. I'm guessing you shot this with available light? You could shoot it with the window behind you, using the window light as your light source.
