malebel 0 Posted January 7, 2008 A lovely subject and sexy pose. The lighting is extremely harsh and contrasty; I think a diffuser or the shade would help out a lot. Plus need some catch lights in her eyes - fill flash would help alleviate the high contrast & gain catch lights for her gorgeous eyes. Those eyes really deserve great attention! Composition-wise, it would be better to make this a portrait crop as the information behind her only detracts from the photo. I hope you have the opportunity to shoot this lovely model again! themusikman 0 Posted January 7, 2008 I cannot complain about the previously mentioned critique and suggestions except for one thing. I believe that this was said to be a senior picture. Therefore, I am assuming that prints are going to be in order. On that note, I would not go with the square crop that was done previously, but I would agree with cutting out some of the background clutter by using a vertical crop instead of landscape. Looks like you're off to a good start. Keep shooting!DTK Link to comment
heatherrene 0 Posted January 8, 2008 Thank you very much for the advice. I can shoot pics with her any time and will try a flash with a diffuser next time. This was actually my first portrait session and I was very happy with the results! Can you suggest a good diffuser? Thank you all VERY much. Link to comment
