B&W Boathouse on the Erie Canal, Tonawanda, NY

The sky was terribly boring, so I converted to B&W. What are your thoughts about this image?

By the way - I was totally surprised to see that there was still a boat in this garage. The Canal had frozen and thawed at least once when this image was taken. I can't imagine that's good for a boat!

I love this! Very strong and beautiful. I think B/W was the right choise, looks very good that way. I think too that this poor boat dont like good to be in the frozen water. Thank you for sharing. And that detail was very nicely done.

A nice image in b&w and I particularly am fond of the tree across the bank to our right of the boathouse. With the four trunks extending up from a single base, and their reflections in the canal I think it might have potential for interesting closer-up shot of the tree, its reflection and the boathouse (again all in b&w).

 

PS, You may have to wade out into the canal a bit to get the shot. 8~)#

i love it.. the reflections in the water are beautiful!

This image has a great personality and the tree agaisnt the sky is excellent. The B&W mode is appropiate for this image, under my opinion.
