Pavel, I would say about 15 feet. It looks like more DOF than you think because they are on a pretty even vertical plane, so I was easily able to keep the body fur and both faces sharp. But momma's head hair is less sharp. That's fine with me because I don't want the eye traveling up there too much... I thought of cropping tighter, but with the edges blurry I liked it better this way.
