Matthew Brennan 3 Posted January 5, 2008 clever use of light- using the slow exposure effect to create the phantom machine - I like this concept and it is captured so well here. Again, your same fine colour and composition, I find your images instantly attractive and very easy to look at. Link to comment
peter_daalder 0 Posted January 5, 2008 Thanks very much for your perceptive comments! It has been (and still is) a great privilege, to gain access to this exclusive type of photographic material. The poppy growing industry in Tasmania is highly regulated and accompanied by (obvious) tight security...This shot was exposed for 1.6s at f11.0 with an ISO setting of 400.Another pass by this harvester was recorded some time later, with an exposure time of 10 seconds (same aperture and ISO).Resulting image attached for your interest. Matthew Brennan 3 Posted January 7, 2008 Interesting effect on the second exposure Peter. The spots on the front of the machine make it appear that the crop has been set ablaze! Great array of colours here! Thanks for the timing- will keep this ball park figure in my memory for my own attempts at similar studies. Link to comment
