Simply brilliant illumination, that high strata level cloud is ghostly and sets off the comet tail very well. I'm surprised at how many stars you managed to capture in the frame. Crop or longer glass?

Great shot, Peter. I would be interested in the exposure data to get some idea as to how bright it appeared in the sky.

Thank you all!

This is a slight crop from a full frame from the Canon 5D with 50mm lens.

Exposure was similar to my other recent Comet McNaught shots - 10 seconds at f2.8 and an ISO setting of 800...

Great shot Peter. Wish I could've seen it live! I'll check out the rest of your portfolio. (I found this in the Random Image Generator.)

How did I miss this?!

OK, probably because I'm never here... This is a truly wonderful image Peter!

This is truly spectacular. Expertly done and very pleasing on the eye.
