New Life

A tiny sapling is boldly breaking through a layer of moss on top of an

old weathered stump - an allegory of the cycle of life.

I'm glad to have received good critiques and ratings - many thanks to reviewers!

Two notes:

1. green 'howto': I've made the shot in raw format and besides few other changes mainly used Capture NX's LCH editor to slightly increase saturation of greenish tones and cautiously mapped yellowish-green hues to 'plainer' green.
2. focus: Umashankar, you've got a sharp eye: in fact the original (*.nef file) appears a little sharper (though not perfect, I admit), yet it seems conversion to high-compression jpeg had also some slight adverse effect.

Extremely wonderful, highly inspirational, a great delight for soul and mind.
