From Mount John, Tekapo

Made with a 400mm lens from Mt John on a very windy and rainy day.

Spectacular and dramatic image. The golden fields in the foreground are a striking contrast with the dark gray clouds. Good use of that graduated ND filter.

Beautiful John, and wonderfully sharp for the telephoto. Beautiful colors.

The light foreground merging into the shadows really gives this photograph depth. The clouds are great with the white snow capped mountain range. I really like the softness you have archived with the ND filter.

And then the bright foreground, which gives the picture an "optimistic" contrast to the depressing clouds.
