A classic shot. I love the sense of melancholy, overcome only by the subtle rainbow hues in the blue snow. Happy New Year, Linda!

Linda, this made me think of poor Charlie Brown's Christmas tree...remember that? :) Love the soft colors here and the overall composition.

Thanks for your comment on my landscape shot. I have taken a look at your portfolio and it is great and this shot is just amazing. It jumped right out at me. It has a lot of depth and meaning yet the composition is very simple. Thanks for sharing.

Linda... I love this. The lonliness and melancholy are there, but there seems to be just a hint of a rainbow on the upper right had corner. Don't you love pristine snow? Becky

This is a little tree that is hanging in there. Bent, cold, sad and lonely, yes, but determined to survive. I admire the tenacity. I do love to photograph and paint scenes with snow. The snow here has been melting. This in between time is rather bleak but it won't be long until spring. I'm starting to crave colour.

I forgot to check for comments on this one. It was such a nice surprize to see so many positive comments about my sad, lonely, struggling, tenatious little tree. I think we all identify with and admire the will to survive.

It really looks like it is carrying a heavy burden, its back bend from the weight. Well titled & presented.
