I think you've mastered now the skin treatment to perfection. I've been recently interested in jewellery photography and I tried some tricks to enhance/pop the jewellery here. Not saying it's better, just showing a trick to guide the eye to a detail. These are done simply with local USM in two stage:

1)sharpness: 200%, rad 0.3, levels 0

2)knoll/contrast: 20%, rad 45, levels 0
