intrigued by the prehistoric-looking side... critiques are always

i like it , really do .. but i think you can use a better color for the frame ... the top part need a little crop...nice

I am no expert in borders and I am still experimenting. As a rule for myself, I want a border that adds to the beauty of the image and also to draw your eyes into the image and not be distracted by it. The choice of color in the accents is personal but the blue in this case IMHO, is a bit brilliant and tends to distract me from the image. What I do sometimes is to 'eye-drop' a color within the image so that it is homogeneous and does not attract the eye. A personal choice might have been the light beige in the image. Tony, thanks... this is "eyedropped" from the blue on his cheek.. but by the reaction that might be too contrasty (color-contrast vs. light-dark contrast).
