dgv 1 Posted December 26, 2007 I think I prefer this version, Joseph. There is more narrative in it. Best regards. Link to comment
thadley 14 Posted December 26, 2007 I much prefer this version which is still a bit sombre but with the introduction of the light colored nymph at the bottom, there is a 'lift'. I like the rich red material and the butterflies. The guitar 'box' (Right term?) blends into the black dress but I can figure out that it is a guitar. The right side has what looks like material but I can't quite make out what it is. Maybe it is my monitor. Overall I love the creativity it took to make this image. This may end up as 'commercial' and I was once told - "the photographer has a vision and an image but it is ultimately what the client likes is what is important". Keep up the good work. As per comments and advice from Tony Hadley and Darren Jones, I went back and smoothed up the skin. (hit refresh). I think it gave me more of the result I was looking for. jeffl7 0 Posted December 27, 2007 This calls up all sorts of images. Gothic ghost stories, fairy-sightings, Victorian parlors aging along with their occupants, and somewhere in the distance a heavy metal guitar. A jarring composition or visual mosaic, very well done. Link to comment
pnfphotography 0 Posted December 27, 2007 creative piece indeed...and the title strings and wings seems good... Link to comment

Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted December 29, 2007 This image conjures up a Joni Mitchell song in my mind, "Angel Spread Your Wings/ I want to to fly away with you". Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Joseph. It was fun knowing you the past year. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 30, 2007 Very interesting execution Joe, "a woman butterfly" it reminds me PR announcements for the theatre ,done by some of the impressionists artists( era). I like the BG, her look, the guitar? The BG ornaments. I wonder what is the source it was done from.Creative! Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted December 30, 2007 Barbara-Thanks for stopping by. Emmanuel- I like those lyrics. And I hope we get to know eachother better in 2008. pnina-I am trying to mix an old style into a modern feel. The source is a photo I took almost two years ago with bad lighting technique. I added a lot with brushes. Link to comment
