lizweisiger 0 Posted December 22, 2007 This is a great idea for an abstract that jumps off the page. I love the deep tones. Larger is more fun. Link to comment
jcpopper 0 Posted December 22, 2007 Dave, I agree with Liz. This "pops," particularly when viewed larger. Have a great Christmas, amigo... Joe Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted December 23, 2007 Liz, nice to see you here. Thanks for the comment. Joe, same to you. I know I'll be having a great Christmas with the kids and grandkids. No question about it. Hope you two also have a spectacularly wonderful holiday. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 23, 2007 I feel the colors are a little over-saturated, but other than that, the composition is wonderful. Many intriguing lines and curves here! Have a merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year! Best regards, Frank Link to comment
mark_q 0 Posted December 23, 2007 This must be the very same building you have visited and captured earlier. I'm pleased you find it worth a second visit as this capture has a thrilling sense of presence, being there. Nice moment with the shadows supporting your framing well. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted December 23, 2007 You are perhaps correct in thinking the colors are a bit hyped. I did move the slider a bit. Have a great holiday. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted December 23, 2007 Yes, I think you commented on the curving beam in the other one which was taken just to the right of this one, only looking more straight ahead. Good memory. This was taken at the same time as the other, but rejected at first as not being worthy. I'm now reviewing some of the images I passed over, and thought it looked interesting enough to play with, and became more attached to it as I worked on it. Thus, it appears. Thanks for your views and comment over the last year, and I hope you have a great holiday. Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted December 23, 2007 I like it better than the other one! However you don't get any 7 from me until after 12-29-07. Those are the rules... Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted December 23, 2007 Rules, schmules. Thanks. I still like the other one better, but I do love these lines and colors. Have a nice holiday. Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted December 24, 2007 I remember having seen another image from you at the same location with a different PoV and compo...this one is also very nice...you know how I like geometry composition:-).... I want to wish you a wonderful Xmas time and holiday period as well as the best start for 2008.... Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted December 24, 2007 Thanks you so much my friend. Yes, there is another one posted that is processed a bit more and was taken from the right of this one looking straight ahead instead of down. Link to comment
alight 0 Posted December 24, 2007 this is certainly an interesting abstract photo. To my taste it seems kinda unsettled - it has many shapes in many directions, that start leading somewhere and then suddenly stop, there is no flow. I'm not saying it's bad, or good. I'm just saying that's how it feels when I see it. I think that a big bottle of V8 rolling down the stairs would give it some dynamism. Enjoy the holidays, Dave. Cheers, Micheal Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted December 24, 2007 Thank you my little friend. That's V8 running through those pipes. Thought you'd like that. Hey, Micheal, thanks for all the kind comments and rates you've given me this year. I've enjoyed hearing your comments, and I've enjoyed looking at your images. Have yourself a very nice holiday for you and yours. Peace and V8 for everybody. Link to comment
alight 0 Posted December 27, 2007 thank you. The same to you. I also have been enjoying your comments and ratings on my photos. Do you think they'll every make bubbly V8? Have a nice light, Micheal Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted December 27, 2007 Damn fine idea. Bubbly V8. Only you could have conceived of that. Tis the season for fruitcake. Fortunately for you no one likeS to eat them. ROTFL May you stay as crazy for 2008 Link to comment
