JohnMWright 1 Posted December 21, 2007 Beautiful image! It almost looks warm given the color, until you realize that is ice in the foreground. My one nitpick is the dark shape in the lower right corner. I'd also be curious to see one taken from ground level, very close to the ice. Link to comment
richygale 0 Posted December 21, 2007 OOPs I suspect that is a bit of a Dog. You are right about going lowere my tripod was as low as it would go. Ill have to get new better one!!!!. Rich. Link to comment
JohnMWright 1 Posted December 21, 2007 Look at the Gitzo 6x series carbon fiber tripods. Given your style, the 25xx would work, or a systematic (no center column). The 6x mountaineers also have the ground level set, just remove the center column. Link to comment
lbattjes 0 Posted December 23, 2007 Nice, Rich. Love the warm colors contrasting with the cold water and ice. Even the purple of the mountains feels a bit cool. Gorgeous spot. Les Link to comment

papasan 0 Posted December 29, 2007 Lovely light and composition. As already mentioned, the contrast between the warm light and the ice is interesting. On my screen though the image looks a bit soft, maybe a bit of sharpening to bring out the details in the ice and stones? Well seen and captured. Regards - michel Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted December 29, 2007 Happy and Prosperous New Year to you and your family, my friend! I love this landscape; it looks cold on the screen. Beautiful colors too. The touch of 'dog' in the lower right is okay as well. Take care, my friend! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
jan_piller 0 Posted December 30, 2007 As usual - you are such an artist of light! Amazing how you capture such warm light on such a cold icy day. Beautiful composition with the scattered rocks in the water. Nice job! Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted January 1, 2008 This is beautiful how the ice is forming! Link to comment
