pax2002 0 Posted January 16, 2008 Olaf, You really have a good eye for street scenes. I might have cropped out the bright object at right: it draws the eye away from the subject. Link to comment
olafdevries 0 Posted January 16, 2008 Of course somebody would suggest that, so you are ok!! However on purpose I did chose for shooting the scene in this way. Otherwise just to sweet and predictable. Without I should have gone closer, otherwise to much crop. Kind of a principle. Thanks for sharing! Do enjoy! :) Olaf Link to comment
snapshooter 0 Posted January 30, 2008 I'm glad you expected John's comment , as I had the same comment in mind but wouldn't have cropped it. Just cloned it out, as I like the wall width as is. I envy you all this great subject material/architecture, stone streets etc. Well done. Link to comment
olafdevries 0 Posted January 30, 2008 You are right about that needed wall-part. My decision was for five seconds, just balancing like a coin on a hair. A crop would simply be to much. And a different format.., I didn't like that in the series. Thanks! Link to comment
antoniobassiphotography 0 Posted May 25, 2008 Wonderful shot. I don't mind the object to the right at all, it's just a silly detail. What is important is the way you captured this beautiful scene. Great timing and excellent DOF. All the best. Link to comment

olafdevries 0 Posted May 20, 2011 Good feeling, it was 16.20 hr. Yes, European summer time. This could have been shot in Italy as well, I suppose. Would love to visit Umbrië or Tuscany, however, I absolutely don't like the idea of not being able to share some Italian. I think that very unpolite and next not pleasant for myself, for it's great to make contact and having time for a talk. In school-French it isn't a problem and if so, I simply state: "My French is much better than yours at the age of three..!" They do like it, humor always works. :) Link to comment
