Guest Guest Posted June 19, 2009 The interesting low mainlight produces quite a glitter in the eyes--one of the reasons we used to call it "monster lighting," though here it's not low enough to produce a monster. Perhaps a lamia. You respond to the emotive quality with an elongated cropping, but cropping at the first fold that goes across the bottom would produce a format more consistent with the proportions of your image. I don't see that the bright area next to her right cheek does anything for the picture, and in the interests of simplicity it might be removed. That nice sweep of drapery at right does a wonderful job of setting up the pose. Link to comment
