doug_gentry 0 Posted December 20, 2007 Dave, Nice way to end the season!..I really love the curves of the "grass" and all the contrasts of the leaves. Nice work! Doug Link to comment
shots worth sharing 1 Posted December 20, 2007 Thanks, Doug! I spotted this in one of those wind-blown piles of leaves at work and brought my camera in today to shoot it. I was a little disappointed that the sun wasn't brighter but, in retrospect, I think that was just as well--too much contrast in the oak leaves might have been overpowering. Link to comment
jcpopper 0 Posted December 20, 2007 This works very well in b&w. A fine shot! Happy Holidays! Joe Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted December 20, 2007 The effect of the grass going in and out of focus as it loops around is nice. I am inclined to agree that a brighter day would have upped the contrast to the detriment of the shot. I love a good solid overcast day for shooting. It is like having a giant studio soft box shining on the world for you. Wishing a very happy holiday season to you and your family Dave. Cheers Gord Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted December 20, 2007 Well seen and executed, the tight focus accentuates the seeming swirl of motion. Link to comment
shots worth sharing 1 Posted December 21, 2007 Thanks for looking and commenting. I've really appreciated your encouragement, advice and, most importantly, been instructed and inspired by your work this first year of serious photography. My very best wishes for the holidays! Link to comment
