i never knew pakistanis wore so many bangles

Pakistani women are never seen without bangels. young girls, married women and old women wear them with love and longing. these particular bangels that you see in this photo are from the desert. it is a tradition there to wear white colored bangels, mostly made of camel bones and in abundance. regards!

our family wear bangles but we don't fill our whole entire arm, they only cover our wrists. and they are colored

Beautiful - like the motion and the colors.

It is a most amazing photo in differet aspects. How did you manage to get all the swing of the dancing body but the face perfectly focused, fixed at somebody in the crowd I guess? I can't help but watching at the bouncing brests like sturdy fruits and at the tarted face and back and forth... and ask myself whether there is not a secret behind it, which one would not expect from this part of the world... thanx everybody for feedback! dear Karl, i am always amazed at the rich diversity of color and their strong symbolic affiliation with ancient indegineous people and civilizations. the get up and attire and customs which you find in this particular pic are ages old. they belong to the primitive periods when early nomades of these parts of the world began to live in clusters along fertile banks of mighty rivers; and laid down the foundation of world's most ancient civilization [indus Valley - Harappan Civilization]. probably the colors matured at a later stage but decoratives and jewellery traditions originated in those eras and are still popular without much change. very recently i visited some Excavation sites in many different parts and found amazing similarity in diversity of traditions. whispers of a distant past. carrying wonderful tales of rise and fall of our ancestors. regards!

A very difficult image to capture and you did a very good job of it. I'm guessing that you must have taken at least 30 photographs of his dancing in order to get this one that captured the moment. Nice shot!

well, a tough one indeed! there was ample tungsten light available plus a few video lights around and i decided to give it a go at Tv mode. this was the turn where his head didn't move much and finally i got it.
