I need to elaborate further as to why I like it, now that I have a moment..

As the gentleman mentioned it does have that 18-19th century pastoral painted feeling, but I also like composition, the tones and light. Great job, lauren.

The light and the overall feeling is allmost biblical (even though the cows don`t exactly match the overall sense... ;-D) I can well see what others have meant concerning the epoch-touch of this one. Very nice manipulation, indeed!

This is something really spectacular. The opposites of lights and shadows makes this piece really work. And the subject... very Finnish :) Love it.
