Guest Guest Posted December 17, 2007 The lighting on her face is nearly perfect. I can still see the defined contours and features, but without losing any contrast of shadows, etc. The softness of lights from each side is very well done too. Did you photoshop this image? If so, what did you do to improve it? Also, I looked at your portfolio of model shots and notice you have very good lighting in public settings. Are you using strobes to do so or are you setting up lights at the various places? I'm curious to know how you're getting such great exposures and softness of light. Thanks and great work. tore 7 Posted December 17, 2007 Thanks for your comments, I use a strobe for the highlights in almost all of my work and blend in the ambient light for fill light in the shadows and the background. For this shoot I have used a big beautydish and I have done some doge and burn to get the shadows a bit darker and to take away the light from the background. A new layer from the background with the blendmode of softlight can do miracles some times, just take the opacity down until it looks nice. The key to soft light is to keep the light sore as big as possible, big umbrellas ore soft boxes close to the model (just outside the picture) gives a very soft light. Cheers Tore Link to comment
