Transition

This I shooted at the feet of Lord Bahubali (52 feet monolithic

statue)around 200 kms from Bangalore. I was stunned, at her age

climbing steep hill to worship the god. Please contribute critique

for improvement.

This is a strong photo! I was wondering if the surrounding adds anything to it. I played with the cropping and feels it works for me better if it were a close up. Just my personal opinion (see attached). I would like to hear your opinion again.

Hi Qin. Thank you very much for your cropping and the comments. I appreciate this type of comments which takes me forward. Your cropped image is really a leasson for me.

Qin on the other hand, the story behind the border is that (in my mind) at this age Indian women creat a boundary around themselves so that they never open to the surrounding world (symbolically represented by stone border).

I like the cropped image and I think it can stand on it's own. However like the full image better. I like to see her surroundings. There is more to this story than just her worshipping. It is to me, very much about where she is as well.
