I would love to visit The South Rim in the winter or Fall. Beautifull fresh air, snow and good colours. I visited the South Rim in july and it was hot and busy. The picture that i took is beautifull, but i love this picture to.

It should be seen in much larger than what is possible here. I love the dark blue empty sky which permits to concentrate on the really spectacular selective light on these marvelous mountains. I see the snow nearby and on the distant mountain tops, but somehow the coldness of the white snow contradict the warmness of the red/brown colours lower down and does not add much to the aesthetic appreciation of the scene, according to my modest eyes. By the way a great congratulation with the POW elsewhere and Happy New year to you.

The light has been used superbly, composition, and such detailed textures on the rocks, and trees are incredible. A tremendous landscape, no doubt about it.
