I like the frame , not distracting at all. The detail in the birds plumbadge is superb, and the dof behind the tree adds an extra background touch or debth of illusion , pretty cool ! And thank You for your insperation on my shots as well.

Great capture, Matthew. I love yellow-tailed black cockies - they have a personality all of their own. I don't think the frame is a distraction per se but, for me, it's a bit tentative. Perhaps try a different colour or make it wider or try a different layer style, or all three. Cheers, Margo.

Too sharp a background or should I say environment so that the main subject and the leaves merge too much! As a matter of fact the background is just well and right blurred!
