Karl Schuler 48 Posted December 15, 2007 Our trip to West Mongolia was about Climate Change andDesertification. We met many nomads and had interesting discussionsabout their life and their worries. Lack of rain and degradation ofpasture land are their major problems. While the children werepreparing a tasty meet soup, the parents brought us to the holy sourcein the birch woods which never dries out and never freezes, even notin the coldest winters. The water has healing properties against allkind of diseases. The grand mother complained about the lack ofcare for the nature by the young generation. But here we experiencedmuch respect for the remaining forest and the holy water. Thanks for watching and reading. Karl Link to comment

bertr 0 Posted December 15, 2007 Particularly after reading your comment, there is much in this picture to think about. Looking at it simply as an image, I must tell you how beautiful it is. I love the bright colour introduced into an otherwise bleak landscape, by the belts and the lady's coat. Congratulations on a beautiful photograph....Bert Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted December 15, 2007 Mongolia, not an easy place to travel but definitely interesting. One of my itinery. I like this colour version. Their brightily coloured attire is a good contrast against the muted cold weather. Link to comment
