Lit with one key light in a 24 X 36" softbox just out of camera range

on the left, one fill light in a 7" reflector over the camera, and a

hair light, also in a 7" reflector above and slightly behind.

Converted from RAW in DPP with some exposure, white balance, and

saturation adjustments. No sharpening applied. Converted from TIFF to

JPEG for web in PS7.

The focus on this makes the cat look like she's about to stop off the screen. The fur has sharpness and yet softness (in clear focus but looks like it's silky soft). The lighting leaves no undesired shadows but yet is not harsh. I particularly like the light from the upper back spot that brings alive the edge at the top of her head.

The only thing I find distracting is the pink base she is posed on. The black background is quite nice as it leaves the cat center stage.
