ldavidson 4 Posted December 12, 2007 Hi Jamye, I would have liked to give this a 7/7. It is such an sweet, tender and appealling image. What an adorable little cherub. I love the warm, soft, delicate feel you give your baby images. Link to comment
kristin_morales 0 Posted December 13, 2007 the ribbons are great! I am so glad that someone besides me likes the pacifier in the mouth...at this stage they are constantly sucking. What did you use to drape in the background...looks soft but substantial not like a muslin. Link to comment

jayme 0 Posted December 14, 2007 Young babies are so hard for me. I just don't know what to do with them, except hold them & cuddle. My friend helped me with this setup :) Kristin- The background is a double knit of sorts. I usually hate the stuff, it makes me itch :) But... it drapes beautifully & folds up for storage without becoming really wrinkled. If it does wrinkle, throw it in the dryer for a few minutes & they're gone. So after years, I finally found a use for double knit! And Kristin- I love pacifiers :) Call me crazy, but I think they look so innocent & plus sometimes it makes them feel more secure. My mother-in-law use to pull our daughter's pacifier out of her mouth the instant we arrived at her house. Then, she wondered why she cried :( We had one that sucked his thumb & one that liked her pacifier. The thumb sucking went on way longer than the pacifier did. Heck, he sucked his thumb at night for years, use to embarrass the heck out of him. It was just out of his control, when he feel asleep... the thumb automatically went into the mouth! LOL! His sister teased him constantly! And she was 2 years younger! At 14, occasionally at night we would still hear him sucking his thumb! Slurp, slurp :) Both of his boys were given pacifiers right off, no thumb sucking for them! He made sure of it! Link to comment

jayme 0 Posted December 15, 2007 Thanks Amy :) According to my mother, I neither took a pacifier nor sucked my thumb :) But then, I did shimmy over the rails of my baby bed & walked when I was 7 months old :( What a scary thought! I must have been every mother's nightmare :) Walking with no concept of falling! She use to put me in nightgowns with draw strings in the bottom to prevent me from climbing out of my baby bed :) LOL :) Sounds like she may have needed a cage instead :) Somehow I survived without any broken bones until I hit 50 :) Our daughter walked at 9 months & I thought "that" was scary! thadley 14 Posted December 21, 2007 Thanks for taking the time to comment on one of my images - we are "Waxing nostalgia" re Nikon FM but it is a good thing because this is where we learned the fundamentals. Thanks to everyone with the anecdotes listed with this image - it gives it a very human touch. I 'slurped up' every word. Wishing you and everyone else a Merry Christmas! Best wishes for the upcoming holidays. Link to comment
