rick vincent 1 Posted April 3, 2002 My favorite portrait of my son Justin. He seems to be posing in his sleep. It captures me. So peaceful and tranquil and yet he seems to be holding onto something. Unlike, yesterday's pic, "Justin on Guitar" (a digitally altered photo), this one is straight out of the camera. Link to comment
thomadeus 1 Posted April 3, 2002 Very nice. I love contrasty images, and he seems to be very relaxed here. Link to comment
randy_spears1 0 Posted April 24, 2002 I've been toying around with the idea of using both white and black backgrounds for portraits of my two girls. You make me want to consider black, too. Did you use some sort of studio lighting on this? It looks like natural light too me because of it's soft quality. Link to comment
rick vincent 1 Posted April 24, 2002 Completely natural sun light from an open window about 5 feet to the right from where I was shooting. The background is just a black blanket. No fancy studio equipment. Link to comment
a_talug 0 Posted May 23, 2002 To follow up on my earlier comment, this is perfect Rick... this is adorable, has such a touch of humour. Can you see him 60 years from now addressing a crowd? Ahmet Link to comment
jean-pierre lavoie 0 Posted June 20, 2002 Looking at this picture makes me smile because of the natural posture of your son and his expression. This is a superb picture that I am sure your son will appreciate too when he will be a bigger guy, probably holding something bigger and real this time! Can't wait to see the altered picture you talk about. Regards. Link to comment
mani_varadarajan 0 Posted July 30, 2002 I'm very impressed with this shot, given that it was done in entirely natural light with no studio backdrop. It inspires me to try a similar technique for my baby. I think this picture is the best of this series, because it looks like he is meditating. Link to comment
