zigzag 0 Posted December 11, 2007 I actually like some of the detail in the full that's not so obvious in the crop. The red detail on the mountains is superb and there's balance with the snow capped mountains. The trees do add interest on the right where the greens are duller - but the eye is drawn to the red and the path to the sun. Looks like a great day - with the cloud keeping the contrast down. What are you joining with - the exposure balance is not perfect. Link to comment
richygale 0 Posted December 11, 2007 thanks Julius I felt the forground in the full image did not really add anything. Glen I used enblend and huggin to blend and join the 11 images thank for your input. Link to comment
richygale 0 Posted December 12, 2007 Julius, I've just uploade another version of this stiched with 15 portrait orientation images. It makes one big file but the resolution is superb 16592*3533 pix I'm still experimenting with the software as I think the exposure can be a bit patchy. Link to comment
regis 0 Posted December 12, 2007 Hi Richard When it comes to your composition I would probably concentrate only on the left side - as the gorgeus light is just right there. The whole right side just doesn't work here for me. When it comes to the technical side - be careful to hide all the joins. Right now you can clearly see some of them on the water surface - and it basically spoils the final impression. All in all - beautiful place and interesting light conditions. The whole composition is well balanced, but too wide to my taste (prefer more traditional 3:1 ascpect ratio). Cheers, Piotr Link to comment
zigzag 0 Posted December 14, 2007 Richard, have you tried CS3's photomerge? Seems to be much better than CS2. Link to comment
richygale 0 Posted December 14, 2007 no Glen I don't have CS3 only CS2 but I used huggin + enblend for this I'm only just learning this software so I have still got away to go before I get it right!!!!! Link to comment
gerfoy3 0 Posted December 14, 2007 Very nice Richard but as noted above you can see some of the joins in the water. Link to comment
