This is a fabulous photograph! I love the wide, open, and expansive composition and the large pinnacle up close, and personal! I really have to go see this place sometime during my life. Beautiful work! Cheers! Chris

Good use of the wide-angle Peter.

I see from your folder names that you consider Tasmania to be distinct from Australia...

LOL ;-)

Thanks for all the great feedback!

Neil, that was actually quite unintentional...

I'll change the folder name from 'Australia' to 'Western Australia'.

Then again, we are somewhat different down here - break out the usual Tassie jokes... ;-)

i'd be interested in seeing an "unmastered" original capture. this final product looks absurdly over-processed to the point of verging on etched caricature. the overall effect makes it tough for the brain to reconcile the lighting throughout this image and come away with a convincing impression. perhaps i've been away too long, but i'm assuming the person above who congratulated your on choice of lighting (which in old-skool terms is pretty funny considering this is a landscape shot) didn't have a photoshop filter in mind.

I dig the location - would like to go there some time. I find the Yellow color a bit unnatural, otherwise I like the photograph.

It is a great image. I had seen a couple of images from this stone formation, straight from a slide film. It is real. The lighting, witch is misunderstood, some people, is a moment, when the Sun is covered by some of that thin cloud, and have a diffused light all in that part of land, and no sharp shadows. Very good shoot. In real life the yellow is a little bit lighter, but it is not a problem, I like the darker tone.

Thank you for your comments on one of my image, back in December.

Cheers; Bela
