Amrit,Mehmet,Donibane,Chaba,Richard,Cherlyn,Alberta,& Laurent Many thanks for your feedback. Alberta , you are right. Papita is the Hindi name of Papaya. It has many medicinal properties when eaten ripe or cooked raw. But few precautions are needed. It should not be eaten too much to avoid the adverse effects.
My favorite fruit. Very well presented with natural colours. The natural lighting actually adds depth & dimension to it.
Delightful photo and a learning experience, too Love the photo - composition, colors, lighting. And I was intrigued by the title "Papita" so I read up on it. These papaya look a little different than our Florida variety. When I Googled "papita," I was directed to web sites that explain the medicinal value of this Indian variety of the fruit. Notably, for indigestion. Good thing to know about for the upcoming holiday gatherings at which I will no doubt consume too much :) So thank you for sharing this for the sheer enjoyment of looking at a professionally done and pleasing photo and for the education in papaya that it led me to. Cheers!
